Fear of Flying?

A very brief comment on this month’s film selection, “BLACKBOX”
by John Bennison, Mountain Shadow Director

Mystery-suspense thrillers are not normal fare for Mountain Shadow monthly film selections, but the only thing separating this month’s film from similar films in this genre is that it comes from France, not Hollywood!

“Black Box” is about as good as it gets, when it comes to two hours of sheer entertainment. Solving the real reason behind the crash of a modern, high-tech commercial airliner requires the human talents of a gifted, suspicious main protagonist; pitted against a bevy of antagonists.

The only downside you may subsequently find after viewing the film is a smidgeon of hesitancy next time you’re at the airport and the announcement comes on over the public address system, “Now boarding Flight # ___, for who knows where.”

Enjoy! jb
